Castration / sterilisation is a surgical elective procedure performed only on a healthy animal. It protects your pet from diseases that occur at an older age (prostate enlargement in males, uterine abscesses and ovarian and mammary gland tumours in females).
It also eliminates the reproductive function of the animals, which is often not pleasant for the owners and causes additional worries. During the operation, the ovaries and uterus are removed from the female animals. In males, the testicles. All animals are operated on under general anaesthesia (inhalation or intravenous). A prophylactic blood test is required before anaesthesia.
